From industrial formulations to advanced cooling.
We design around the needs of each application, from reactive PIB for additive preparation to dielectric fluids for high-density computing.
Materials selected for the finished formulation.
PIB has established uses in caulks, sealants, adhesives and other specialty formulations. Material selection depends on the role it plays in the finished product.
Start with the properties you need.
Viscosity and molecular weight
Purity and consistency
Reactivity where required
Customer specifications and formulation testing
We start with these requirements, then identify a suitable material and the testing needed to qualify it.

Emergent Fluids™
Terminal olefin groups provide greater reactivity for downstream chemical preparation.
01
Additive intermediates
For certain intermediates, that reactivity supports thermal reaction routes that avoid conventional chlorine activation.
02
Reactive chemistry for additive preparation.
Emergent Fluids™ is used to make derivatives for dispersants, deposit-control additives and related performance products. The finished additives help control deposits, suspend contaminants and maintain engine cleanliness.
Finished additives
The additive manufacturer confirms processing fit and performance in the finished fuel or lubricant.
03
Bring the coolant directly to the heat source.
Single-phase immersion cooling places compatible electronics in a nonconductive fluid. We design Inherent Fluids™ for this direct contact with electronics, with dielectric performance, material compatibility, thermal behavior and stability built
into fluid development.
Inherent Fluids™ 280-LV
A lower-viscosity grade developed for conventional and retrofit immersion systems.
Lower-viscosity applications
Hydraulic resistance and pumping considerations
Selection based on qualified equipment and
operating conditions
Both formulations are being developed with no intentionally added perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Grade selection depends on the complete system.
Inherent Fluids™ 336-HT
A higher-temperature, lower-volatility grade developed for elevated-temperature operation.
Higher-temperature applications
Lower volatility
Qualified dry heat-rejection systems
Connect fluid selection to
system design.
Immersion transfers heat from the immersed assembly to the system’s heat exchanger. Depending on the architecture, it can reduce the number of server-level liquid connections required for immersed hardware.
Inherent Fluids™ are developed for demanding thermal environments, including bulk-fluid operating temperatures of 60 to 75°C. In qualified systems, higher fluid temperatures can increase the temperature difference to ambient air, supporting dry heat rejection where climate and design permit. This can reduce or avoid process-water consumption associated with evaporative cooling towers. A closed-loop facility water circuit may still transfer heat to the dry coolers. Final limits depend on complete system qualification.
Selected direct-to-chip and secondary-loop applications are being evaluated. Suitability depends on equipment, materials, fluid properties and OEM qualification.
Manage the fluid beyond the first fill.
01
Qualify for service
Select the grade and establish the operating and monitoring requirements.
02
Monitor condition
Track physical, chemical, electrical and cleanliness properties to inform maintenance and replacement.
ReOrigin™ can apply across PIB markets, with the greatest expected value in cooling-fluid applications. Recovery depends on material condition, process development and qualification.
03
Recover value
ReOrigin™ is a developing concept for repolymerization of suitable spent PIB materials.
