Common Questions.
Both begin with isobutylene and share a chemistry and processing foundation.
Emergent Fluids™ is a reactive intermediate. Inherent Fluids™ use selected, saturated oligomers designed for dielectric cooling.
They serve different applications and require different qualification criteria.
Selection depends on operating temperature, hydraulic requirements, heat rejection, equipment and materials. The lower-viscosity 280-LV and higher-temperature 336-HT grades provide different starting points for system evaluation.
Selected direct-to-chip and secondary-loop applications are being evaluated. Suitability must be confirmed through equipment and OEM qualification.
Dry heat rejection can reduce or avoid evaporative process-water consumption where climate and system design permit. A closed-loop facility water circuit may still be part of the architecture.
ReOrigin™ is a developing concept for recovering value through repolymerization of suitable spent PIB materials. It can apply across PIB markets, with the greatest expected value in cooling applications. Recovery depends on material condition, process development and qualification.
